Happy Valentine's Day

Whether you are celebrating this Valentine's Day with your husband, boyfriend, or with friends, you must celebrate it with lots of laughter, love and a super cute outfit!!! Here is a Shelli Segal Venise laces sheath dress from Bloomingdales that would be perfect for this occasion. Depending on the setting, you could pair this with a colorful cardigan, dark tights, a delicate necklace, and a pair of heels. Keep it clean and simple since anything too complicated would end up making you look uncomfortable and stiff. As long as you are comfortable and happy in what you are wearing it will look great on you. Very light makeup and a hint of your favorite perfume at the nape of your neck and wrists would make you smell and look heavenly. Don't forget to moisturize for touchable skin and have a smile on your face. =) Enjoy!!

Favorite Trends for Spring 2011

All over the runways, there were many new trends for upcoming spring 2011 fashion. From sheer to lace and some silks. There were lots of corals in clothing, makeup, and jewelry, but there was also a lot of nudes and whites that ruled the runways. Here are few of my favorite Spring 2011 trends that are wearable for the everyday woman:

1- Lace: Oh so romantical!!!! Lace was all over the runways and I couldn’t be happier. Lace has always been one of my favorite things to wear. It’s extremely feminine without being too revealing.

Nanette Lepore Boudoir Lace Top
BCBG Satin Georgette Dress
2- Bell Bottoms/Flared Pants: No offense to the SKINNY jeans, but it’s time we welcome back a bit more friendly Bell Bottoms/Flared leg pants.

7 for All Mankind Spring 2011
3- Nudes and Whites: Although spring represents colors it's always nice to wear nudes and whites in the spring and summer to keep cool and look super chic!!

4 – Maxi Dresses: Finally something you can run around freely in. This trend can be dressed up or down depending on the setting you will be in for the day. Pair it with a tee and a belt for a casual look or a cardigan/suit jacket for a more work appropriate look.

5- Gold Belts: I'm a sucker for belts, but gold belts took over the runways for this Spring. And i'm lovin it!!

No matter what the trends are if you feel good in what you are wearing with confidence and a smile, it will look great on you!!

Review: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polishes

You might not know this about me, but I love nail polish. Lately, I have tried several different drugstore brands and consequently fell in love with the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color. At first, I bought the reds in Racey Rouge 270 and the Rapid Red 09, but after realizing what a gem these nail polishes were I had to go back and get some more. There is nothing I don't like about these nail polishes. The formula is dead on with fast drying power, the color pay off with even just one coat and the awesome flat brush. This was the first time I was using a flat brush for a nail color and I was amazed at the geniuses of whoever came up with the idea of having a flat brush rather than the flimsy round brushes that 90% of the nail polishes come with. Flat brush gives you more control while applying the color which leads to a perfect manicure. My manicure lasts up to five days without any chips and I usually don't even use a base or a top coat!! I will have to think twice before spending $8-$10 on OPI or the other name brand nail colors since Sally Hansen Insta-Dri only costs only $4 depending on where you buy it from. So, if you are in the market for a nail color I would recommend checking to see if Sally Hansen Insta-Dri has the color you are looking for because I highly doubt that you will be disappointed.

From left to right: Co-Bolt Blue 320 - this is a perfect royal blue with a hint of blue sheen, Racey Rouge 270 - Bright red with a hint of pink, Pronto Purple 360 - Perfect deep purple for the winter , Mauve it 05 - this is a mix of pink/nude/mauve that looks adorable with my skin tone, Rapid Red 09 - blood red for V-day ;-), Mint Sprint 440 - such a fun color that brightens your mood and your outfit!!!

Hope that helped. Don't forget to follow my blog!! =)

Simple Facial

Here is a simple facial that can be done within 10 minutes and leaves you with a fresh glowing skin!!

1- Fill a bowl with luke warm water and add 10 drops of lemon juice. Let it sit while you do step 2.
2-Wash your face with baby shampoo (trust me, it won't harm you if it's gentle enough for baby scalp)
3- Rinse with the lemon water that you had made earlier.
4- Finish with light application of grape seed oil. If your skin is more on the oily side just massage the oil for 5 minutes and then rinse with your regular cleanser.

Hope that helped!!  =)

WHAT's in my bag!?!?!

So, after having an interesting conversation with one of my friends last night at another friends wedding, I decided I was going to make a "what's in my bag" video because I also carry around odd things in my bag sometimes. However, now that I think about it... this video might be a bit boring. Sowwie! =) at least I uploaded right!?!?! so there are two videos
1: What's in my bag?!?!
2: What's in my makeup bag?!!?

Enjoy and let me know what you think!!! =)

Benefit Beauty Bestsellers Review

Hello!

I made this video on a whim, hence no-makeup and PJs!!! The package includes: 'some kind-a gorgeous' 'that gal' 'high beam' 'posie tint'. If I had to get one out of all four it would have to be the tint. It gives you the perfect natural pink color for cheeks or lips. it's non-greasy and has a good staying power. The foundation is nice, but not for people that have troubled skin since it will just even your skin out without covering anything. The high beam is also nice if you are looking for a highlighter. The face primer is my least favorite out of the four, mainly because it sort of stinks when you put it on your face and after couple of hours it can make your skin little bit oily. Nonetheless, all four products are worth a try, especially if you can find this travel size package. Good luck and hope this review helps you in some way!!

Fav Hair Style for Spring 2010

My favorite Spring 2010 trend is:

YEP! you guessed it right. BRAIDS!!! How fun!! We saw braids all over the runways and red carpets for this spring and I have to admit, i've been sporting it for the past couple of months and loving it. It's quick, easy, young, yet elegant. An easy alternative to the updo. You can keep it tight and clean or have it lose and messy (the way I like it). You can do a high braid or a low one or (my fav) a side one!!

Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds

Although this is beauty blog, I thought I would share this article I read on Yahoo. I don't have anyone to experience these with, but I hope reading this on my blog helps someone out there. I honestly think doing these little things would help a relationship TREMENDOUSLY. So, I hope you have someone that you can share these cute little gestures with =) Good Luck!!!

How many times have you become frustrated with your significant other? You feel like they just don't understand you. You feel like you don't connect anymore. There is no passion and fire left in your relationship.
Do you long to feel that passion again? Here are seven simple ways to put the fire back in your relationship -- and keep it there:

1. Don't forget date night. It's been said a thousand times, but it's true. Couples who forget to go out on dates tend to treat each other like furniture in the house. You need to have a date together every week. Get dressed up for each other. Go out to a restaurant, a ballgame, or just take a walk together. It doesn't matter where you go as long as you do something different from your usual activities. When you're on your dates, treat each other the way you did when you first started
dating.

2. Give a proper greeting. When your significant other comes home at night, meet them at the door and give them a big kiss. Don't just yell, "Hey, how ya doing?" from another room. If you are the one coming in the door, go to wherever your partner is in the house and give them a big kiss. Little gestures like this go a long way.

3. Keep on kissing. When you wake up in the morning, make sure you kiss your partner. Forget about morning breath. Who cares? We're talking about showing love from the very first minute of the day. This brings me to the second part of this: Before you go to bed at night, make sure you are connected with your significant other and kiss them goodnight. You should always feel love and nurturing before you go to sleep. Too many couples get into bed -- each person on their side of the bed -- and fall asleep without bothering to kiss each other goodnight.

4. Break the routine. A big part of keeping the fire burning in a relationship is stirring up the daily routine. One of the best ways to do this is to set a romantic mood. Light candles. If it's a night you normally watch TV, why not light candles throughout the entire house? Do anything that's out of your normal routine.

5. Send a "no special reason" message. Send your significant other little notes in the middle of the day, just telling them that you love them or that you're thinking about them. With email and texting, this is so simple yet so powerful. You can even leave a quick voicemail. That one "I love you" message will make your partner feel happier.

6. Leave a surprise note. Everyone loves a surprise, so try placing a handwritten note in their bag or briefcase. If you leave early for work, leave a card saying, "I'll be thinking of you all day long" or "I really love the way you and I are together." Write something simple but beautiful. Share something to remind your mate of great times together.

7. Be there even when you're apart. If you travel for business or other reasons, leave a sweet note for your partner before you leave. Even better, leave a series of notes for them to find and read on each day that you will be away. If your significant other is the one who travels, slip a card into their suitcase and follow up with some romantic texts while they are gone. This lets them know you are thinking about them. Keeping each other in your thoughts is one of the most important parts of keeping the fire burning.
