(Source: Whatisblik.com)

A great way to enhance any wall in your home: Blik. This cool mint and grey pattern will surely be on my kitchen wall coming Sep ;-) or these Iron Vines in the bathroom!! Some of the headboard patterns are also pretty tempting if you don't have an actual headboard for your bed!

Shining Gems

Lately, my life has been incredibly busy and i've not been putting much effort in my appearance. I've realized now that it just might have something to do with how disorganized my things are these days!! I just don't feel like spending 20 minutes to find something cute to wear. For example, my jewelry case looks like a HOT mess. My once delicate necklaces are now all jumbled into a tangled mess and the condition of the rest of my jewelry isn't pretty either. This calls for a major cleaning and reorganizing. I need to figure out  how I want to store my collection of gems!! I want a simple yet elegant storage system and i'm not too sure about the traditional jewelry boxes especially since this is only less than half of my jewelry and I might need more than one jewelry box:
Trying to sort through some of my jewelry
These pictures inspire me to get organized while keeping it looking extra gorgeous:

Keep a look out for a blog post about my new jewelry storage system!! I'll be sure to share some pictures so it might inspire you to get organized!! =) Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow my blog!! xoxo

Chicken Samosa

I've been in the mood for some yummy samosas lately and especially since Ramadan is approaching I think it's time to make some. In case you want to enjoy the yummy goodness, you can read the recipe below! Happy Eating!!

The Filling:
500g minced Chicken
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1teaspon curry powder
½ easpon chilli powder
1 teasmon ground tumeric
½ teaspon gorund roasted cumin seeds
1 fresh chilli finaly diced
1 tspn chopped mint or corriander
½ tspn fresh grated ginger
salt and ground pepper to taste
juice of half a lemon

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and garlic mix in the spices and seasoning and fry until soft. Add the mince, stirring until cooked. Remove from heat and stir in the mint and lemon juice.

Now for the pastry: You don't have to make your own pastry. You can simply buy some ready-made pastry from the shop. For samosas you want to fry, use Filo Pastry and for samosas you want to cook in the oven use Puff Pastry.

This recipe was taken from here. Good luck and don't forget to follow my blog!! xoxo

What kind of Bride would you be?

Tis the season of weddings! Have you noticed how lately everyone and their mom is getting married?!?! Well, I have and it makes me all giddy and dreamy. I think each bride shows her personality through the kind of dress and accessories she picks for her big day. Some focus on glamour, some simplicity, and some are just simply elegant. So, what kind of Bride would YOU be? Here are some inspirations:

It's like a fairytale dress
Very bold. I love the underside design on the dress that's peaking through on purpose! Genius design.

So simple and elegant. This is my kinda dress!
Old Hollywood Glamour.
So Chic. So Cute.
Love everything. The shoes, the Mehndi, the bottom of the dress
Such a delicate moment captured. Shoes are so important for all brides no matter which culture.
The silver in this picture screams Glitz and Glam.
Mehndi is a way to decorate your hands and feet for your big day!
Unusual Flowers for an Unusual Color
The simplicity of this picture is beautiful.
Ah. Such intense eyes. Love the black and white intensity.

4th of July Sales!!!

An early Happy 4th of July to everyone!!!! A lot of companies are having great sales this weekend and I wanted to share some of my favorite ones:

BH Cosmetics is having up to 40% off sale and adding in a free mini Kabuki brush if you spend more than $10!! I think that is a great sale and am thinking about buying the 88 matte palette or maybe the neutral matte palette!! Hope this helps those that were thinking about buying some their products. Here is the website: www.bhcosmetics.com. Some of you have showed interest in my BH Cosmetics palettes I bought a while ago. I will have to do a review on them soon so stay tuned!!

Another exclusive sale that is going on right now is from Sephora: Best of Fragrance Deluxe Sampler For Her. This sale is going online and in stores. This is a $100 value that you get for $50. The package comes with 10 different fragrant samples and a coupon for a full size bottle of the one you end up liking the most. Isn't that the best deal ever?!?! I have GOT to get my hands on this soon. Here is the link for your convenience: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=HZSBRSYDB1420CV0KRTQIGQ?categoryId=A17&id=P276315

Last but not least Sephora has another great limited addition product right now that i'm loving. It's the Feelin' Cheeky! Minis by Benefit. The package comes with the three of their very popular products: Benetint (red cheek or lip tint), Posietint (light pink cheek or lip tint), and High Beam (highlighter) and I don't know anyone who has ever finished these little potions because you use such a tiny little amount of the product it lasts forever. For $15 this is a steal and I will be buying it for sure. A Review: Beautyblender

I love getting packages in the mail ESPECIALLY when it's something i've been dying to get my hands on for a while. I finally got my Beautyblender in the mail last week and I must say I am impressed.

First, let me give you some background information on this product: it looks like a cute pink egg that is used to put your liquid foundation on for a flawless airbrushed finish. Before you use it, you have to put it under water for a minute to dampen it and then squeeze the water out with a towel or with your hands. You can dip the beautyblender in your foundation like the directions say or you could put small dots of foundation on your face and then bounce the sponge in a stippling motion all over your face. Then, you get to LOVE the way your makeup looks.

My experience with it has been great so far. The sponge feels extremely springy and like nothing i've ever tried before. After you put it under water for a min it swells up twice it's original size and stays thats way even after you squeeze the water out. You should always try to wash it out after you are done putting your makeup on just for hygienic purposes... don't want any bacteria growing inside of it!!! And that would be the same for using any other sponge or a brush for your foundation. You should always wash the applicators after few uses.

One of the main cons for me would have to be the price. I got mine for $19.99 from Sephora online, but you can find it on other websites too if you google it. However, I believe the price is the same on all websites. I wish it was around $10- $15. There are some other options to get two for $25 or a cleanser with it for $35ish? I sort of wish I had gotten the two for $25. Oh well. Another tiny issue for me is how fragile it is. i've only used it for a week and a half and there is a tiny itty bitty crack right in the middle of it. I know I got it because i've washed it at least four times already, but I expected it to be bit more sturdy if i'm paying $19.99 for it!!!!! However, i'm very happy with the sponge especially because of the flawless finish it gives me. It almost looks like I have nothing on and my skin is just flawless. I don't know about you, but that's the look  I think most people go for.

Hope this helped!! Thanks and don't forget to follow my blog!! xoxo =)

Sigma Brushes

For someone who loves to paint, makeup brushes are sometimes more fun than the actual makeup. I love a good brush that feels soft to the face and doesn't scratch. I have been searching for the perfect brush kit for a while and even though i've read great reviews about the MAC brushes I really don't feel the need to spend so much money on them.

I read about Sigma brushes a year ago and since then I have been wanting to get them, but I could never justify me getting them since I only wear makeup for special occasions. Finally, I think I can justify me getting them since some special occasions will be coming up in my life shortly. =)

These brushes are way more affordable than the MAC brushes yet the brush styles are  the same. From all the reviews I have read the feel and the performance is just as nice if not better than the MAC brushes. I will do a more detailed review once I buy them, but I wanted to share the kit that i'm thinking about getting. I'm not a pink person, but these just look cute and would be easy to sort out from my other random brushes. What do you think:

Also, if you know of any other brush kits that are good please, feel free to comment or send me a message. Thanks and don't forget to follow my blog!! xoxo
